Things have changed at the border, but the most important thing to know is: I am still shipping to the United States.

New US tariffs on certain Canadian-made goods are now in effect, and I’ve spent the last few days going through my collection product by product to understand what that actually means for LanaBetty.

The good news? Most of my collection can still make its way to you. ✨

My Canadian-made solid gold jewelry is subject to the new additional 50% tariff, so I’ve made the decision to pause US shipping on those pieces for now.

A little glimpse at some of the pieces that have passed through my hands lately. Tiny hearts and bright gemstones, snakes and compasses, ladybugs, chains and little talismans made to carry something meaningful with you.

No two days at my bench ever look quite the same, and I think that might be one of my favourite things about being a goldsmith.

Five years ago, I unlocked the door to a little studio in Mount Pleasant with a head full of ideas and a dream of making jewelry for a living.

Those walls saw thousands of pieces come to life, countless lessons, long days, quiet mornings, and some of the biggest milestones of my career.

They also became a safe place for Bolt, Trip, and Nova. Those moments will always mean more to me than I can put into words.

Some places become more than just a workspace. They become part of your story.

This little studio gave me exactly what I needed, exactly when I needed it.
Thank you for five unforgettable years.

Some chapters aren't meant to last forever.
They're meant to prepare you for what's next.

It's funny how, when you're living it, you don't realize you're building toward something.

Before I can move forward, I think the last five years deserve a proper send-off.

So much has happened. So much has changed.

As the One of a Kind Show comes to a close, my heart is so full.
Thank you to everyone who visited me at Booth A05, whether you stopped by to shop, try pieces on, place a custom order, or simply say hello. Your support, encouragement, and connection mean the world to me.

This weekend was especially meaningful as I had the honour of preparing one-of-a-kind pieces ahead of the show and bringing them to life for clients who entrusted me with their stories. From thoughtfully crafted designs completed in advance to custom gemstone rings set on-site, each creation was made with care, intention, and deep appreciation.
There is something truly magical about creating jewelry that marks a moment in time, pieces destined to be worn, cherished, and remembered. Watching them find their perfect homes is the greatest reward.

I’m also deeply grateful to be part of the extraordinary community of makers at the One of a Kind Show. Supporting handmade means showing up for one another, celebrating each other’s wins, and sharing in the beauty of meaningful craftsmanship.
