Last night, our Senior Outreach Program hosted a Biomedical Case Competition 🏆 for our volunteers, offering them the chance to combine their education and experiences to propose novel biomedical solutions addressing challenges faced by our aging population, such as cognitive decline 🧠, decreased mobility and independence 🦽, and nutritional and dietary support 🍎.

👏 Well done to all of our volunteers who exceeded expectations and delivered outstanding presentations! Special congratulations to Team 2 🎉 for winning first place with their solution, “Rise”—an innovative pneumatic cylinder-powered chair design aimed at reducing fall risk and enhancing senior independence and safety when transitioning between mobility aids, standing, or sitting. 💺✨

A heartfelt thank you to all the MEDIC team members 🙌 who made this event possible—your dedication and hard work truly shone through! 🌟
