The UBC Journal of International Affairs (JIA) is a student-run, internationally-distributed undergraduate publication that showcases excellent papers selected in a blind peer and faculty review process. The JIA has published distinguished research papers written by students from a range of faculties and departments. In light of the journal’s thirtieth anniversary, we are soliciting submissions fr

om UBC students (Vancouver and Okanagan campuses) and students from twenty-five partner universities in seventeen countries. The JIA is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students who wish to develop their academic writing and explore the world of academic publishing. Students who would like to be part of the Editorial Board should apply in September. In addition, the JIA affords students an invaluable opportunity to have their work published early in their academic careers. The print version of the JIA, using only post-consumer recycled paper and vegetable ink, is published at our annual April launch. Past editions are available online or through Koerner library. The JIA is supported by the International Relations Student Association, the UBC International Relations Program, the Universitas 21 Network, and AMS Sustainability.
