Arts Indigenous Student Advising in the Faculty of Arts supports the success of new and continuing First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students. As part of Arts Academic Advising, we are here to provide you with academic and cultural support and to help you meet your educational and personal goals at UBC. Our Indigenous Mentorship Program is NOW open and accepting applications!

From September 1st @10:00am until September 10th @11:59pm, we welcome Indigenous Arts students to apply for mentorship or mentee positions in our upcoming fall program.



🗓️ Application period: Sept 1st 2023 - Sept 10th, 2023 @11:59pm

📅 Term 1: Events in October, November, and December

🌟Positions Available: 5 mentor spots, 5 mentee spots each term



[Mentees]: You must be an Indigenous 1st or 2nd-year Arts student eager to learn, grow, and receive guidance from an experienced cultural figure.

[Mentors]: You must be an Indigenous 3rd or 4th-year Arts student who is proactive, committed, and respectful in your interactions with others.

Research Award Application Workshop for Indigenous Undergraduate Students

This virtual workshop will cover tips and tricks for applying to research awards for Indigenous undergraduates. It will focus on the NSERC USRA but we will also cover similar awards available at UBC.
