The Global Crisis Simulation was founded in 2013 by a group of students from the University of British Columbia with broad experience in global affairs and policy debate. They saw a need for a truly innovative business and policy conference that would not only bring together the brightest minds around the world, but also solve the real-life challenges that society faces in international business,

corporate governance, technology, science, and security. The inaugural conference will bring together more than 300 international student delegates over three days to simulate crises and debate issues across a variety of topics. By combining the traditional ‘Model UN’ committee debate style with issues in corporate governance, science, technology, security, and crisis management, the GCS will offer delegates an exciting and challenging new way of exploring the most important problems that face business and public sector leaders.
