VCC - Applied Business The Applied Business Department provides top-notch administrative skills to individuals wanting to work in Office, Legal, or Medical Administration.

The Applied Business Department at Vancouver Community College offers certificate programs of five to eight months to those interested in obtaining advanced skills to work in office, legal, and medical administration. Graduates are working throughout B.C. and across Canada in a wide range of businesses, service organizations, medical institutions, and government agencies. Programs include:

Medical Office Assistant
Medical Transcriptionist

Program time is set aside in the last month of the programs for work experience; students are placed in a challenging work environment which requires application of the skills learned in their program.
