We are devastated to learn of the egregious attacks against Muslim worshipers in New Zealand. There is no room in our society for this kind of hatred, and we are horrified by this heinous act of terror. We send our heartfelt condolences to the families affected and pray for strength and resilience for the community of Christchurch. Entering Shabbat, we pray for peace and strengthen our resolve in ensuring that people be safe and secure not only in their places of worship, but in all places. We stand in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters in mourning the victims of this senseless violence.
