Last weekend, we welcomed close to 900 visitors to the UBC Dairy Education and Research Centre in Agassiz. ๐Ÿ„โœจ

Along with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada next door, our Open House gave families and community members the chance to meet calves, heifers, and mature cows up close while learning about the research happening behind the scenes. The researchers at the Dairy Centre are improving animal welfare, reproduction, and supporting Canadian dairy farmers in working towards net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

We were also delighted to host an LFS alumni meet-up, where attendees reconnected with classmates and shared stories while celebrating their connection to the Faculty.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable. We loved welcoming so many curious visitors, alumni, and community members to the Dairy Centre!

Also, a huge thank you to our sponsors: BC Dairy, WestGen, J&D Farmers Dairy Service, Pacific Dairy Centre Ltd., Ritchie-Smith Bulk Feeds
