“Hi, my name is Ryan Bisaso, I’m the President of Delta Kappa Epsilon and I’m currently entering my final year at Sauder.

In my spare time, I work as DJ and music producer, known for high-energy sets and unique crowd moments. I’ve been fortunate enough to play across Vancouver and beyond, and I’m currently working on original music due to be released soon.

At DKE, we take pride in being one of the most tight-knit and driven fraternities on campus, not just socially, but in how we carry ourselves, support our community, and strive for success. This year, we’re focused on keeping that standard high, and continuing to make sure that DKE stands out for all the right reasons.“

This week’s President Spotlight is Duncan McCunn of

Duncan is currently in his fourth year studying Accounting and Business Analytics at UBC Sauder. Duncan is currently working a summer internship at KPMG in M&A advisory and audit. For hobbies, Duncan loves to play golf, hike, run, mountain bike, DJ, ski, and travel. A goal of Duncan’s is to complete an iron man one day.

Here is what Duncan had to say about his experience in Alpha Delta Phi so far:

“Alpha Delta Phi has provided so much for me in my time here. Since joining I have developed friendships that will last a lifetime and this has led me to recognize that joining a fraternity is about so much more than just partying and having fun, it’s about developing those deep connections with your friends and having people to support you whenever you need it.

Ever since I joined Alpha Delta Phi, I have never looked back, and I’m so glad I found this place to help me through my short time at university. If anyone has any questions about Alpha Delta Phi, greek life, or just wants to chat about golf or travelling, feel free to reach out to me on instagram “

03/13/2025

The UBC Inter-Fraternity Council is encouraging all fraternity members to vote YES in the AMS Referendum before the deadline TOMORROW (Friday, March 14 @ 8:00 PM PDT).
Why does this matter for Greek Life?
✅ A new VP Student Life - A dedicated AMS exec focused on strengthening the relationship between Greek Life and the AMS, making it easier to plan events, secure campus spaces, and get support for major initiatives.
✅ More AMS-backed student events - The VP Student Life will work directly with fraternities to coordinate larger, better-supported campus events that bring the community together.
✅ Advocacy for student life & social culture - Greek Life plays a huge role in UBC’s student experience, and this position ensures we have a direct voice in shaping campus culture and working with AMS leadership.
This is a chance to strengthen Greek Life’s presence at UBC and build a better partnership with the AMS. Every vote matters.

The UBC Inter-fraternity Council is proud to endorse Riley Huntley for election as AMS President in the AMS Spring General Election!

Riley’s past achievements speak for themselves — from securing $800,000 for students in a single year to taking legal action against Royal Roads University for more student rights, and WINNING — he is more than the most qualified candidate in this race; he is the only option for real progress on items that matter to students.

The UBC Inter-fraternity Council is proud to endorse Zarifa Nawar for re-election as AMS Vice-President Academic & University Affairs (AUA) and Student Senator in the AMS Spring General Election!

In just three months as VP AUA, Zarifa has already secured $250,000 for undergraduate research opportunities and $150,000 for hybrid and accessible education—a testament to her ability to deliver real, tangible results for students. She is the only candidate with extensive experience in this role and has consistently proven her dedication to improving student life.

Her platform focuses on affordability, academic and career support, and increasing accessibility and equity, all of which are critical to ensuring that every student, including those in the Greek community, can thrive at UBC. Zarifa understands the challenges students face and has worked tirelessly to address them through strong advocacy and decisive action.

UBC’s fraternities value leadership, service, and community—qualities that Zarifa embodies. We have full confidence that she will continue to fight for students and will not let us down.

Learn more about her platform at votezarifa.com and cast your vote now at ams.ubc.ca/vote! Voting closes March 14 @ 8:00 PM PDT.
