UBC Pre-Law is taking applications for the 2021/2022 exec team!
We’re hiring for the positions of:
VP Marketing (2)
The Marketing Director’s role is to spread the message about the club to the student body, and to inform them of all club events. This individual will be the “brain” behind all forms of event promotion: everything from connecting with media (ex. maintaining our website and using Mailchimp to create our club’s regular newsletters) to designing visual promotion material. We are looking for an individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about graphic design, so that they can produce visual graphics for all of our events. The role also requires the individual to be proactive on social media through all of our platforms and to post regularly, according to a marketing schedule. Our goal is to ensure maximum exposure for every event and provide as much updated information for students as possible.
Exec Assistants (2)
The Executive Assistants are responsible for a variety of tasks and assist the other positions with their duties. They assist all VPs and Presidents with event planning and ex*****on. Executive Assistants are also responsible for planning the exec socials. This position is ideal for new executive members as it provides the opportunity to become familiar with the various positions within UBC Pre-Law. Executive assistants have the opportunity to work under all positions or shadow specific ones.
VP Sponsorship (1)
The Director of Sponsorship is responsible for developing and managing the sponsorship program for the UBC Pre-Law Society. This involves creating an overall sponsorship plan, contacting potential sponsors, building individual relations, and negotiating agreements. The purpose of the Pre-Law sponsorship program is to provide the club with the funds that it requires to run its various events throughout the year. As well as money, it is also important for the director to acquire any other resources (for example, LSAT strategy sessions run by Prep Companies) that are desired by our members and that would improve the value of their membership in the Pre-Law Society. There should be a close relationship between the Director of Sponsorship and the VP External, as these two individuals act as the link between the club and outside groups.
