We are incredibly excited to announce Dr. Joan Ongchoco as our 28th Psychology Undergraduate Research Conference keynote speaker!
Dr. Ongchoco is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology in the Cognitive Science area at the University of British Columbia where she is the director of the Perception & Cognition Lab.
In particular, while the raw material of perception may be a *continuous* wash of light and sound, the building blocks of experience are *discrete* individuals — objects in space and events in time. Dr. Ongchoco explores the ways objects and events can interact with attention, memory, decision-making, and even mental dysfunction.
Dr. Ongchoco exemplifies the spirit of innovation in her work. We are so honoured for her to share this inspiring light with us for our conference.
