Undergraduate Chemistry Society at University of British Columbia, Vancouver

The Undergraduate Chemistry Society (UCS) is a student-run organization dedicated to promoting chemistry campus-wide and in our community. We strive to enhance the undergraduate experience for chemistry students by hosting various events such as:
- Chemistry Forum
- Chemistry Undergraduate Chemistry Conference
- Final Exam Package Sales
- Locker Rentals
- Professional Communications Workshop
- Professor Meet & Greet
- 2-Bucks-a-Beaker

Hi everyone! Our Grad Info Session for the University of Alberta is happening Tuesday, October 13th, 4-5pm in CHEM D317. Be sure to RSVP to learn more about the University of Alberta’s Chemistry Graduate Program! 🧪🧑‍🔬🎓

This year’s info session is hosted by Dr. Ratmir Derda. He is a professor in the Departments of Chemistry and Principal Investigator at the Alberta Glycomics Centre, and his research focuses on using genetically encoded libraries to develop materials to control cell differentiation, synthesize therapeutic inhibitors, and study drug-resistant cells.

Want to win Day of the Longboat with other chemists? The UCS is forming a Chemistry team of 8-10 (with up to 2 additional alternates) to participate in Day of the Longboat. We are competing (just for fun!) on Saturday, October 3rd in the 2:30 - 3:30 pm heat. All costs are covered by UCS. CHEM 123 = $15 for UCS members | $20 for non-members

Celebrate your last week of classes with your friends by enjoying b**r🍺/c***r in beakers (like a true chemistry nerd) with yummy pizza🍕 and snacks, and spend the night playing fun boardgames and trivia! 🎲📝 Last but not least, swing by the photobooth📸 to create lasting memories with your favorite people.

- Cost of entry: FREE
- When: Wednesday, Apr. 8th, from 5:00 PM - 9:30 PM (Trivia starts at 7:30 PM)
- Where: Abdul Ladha Science Student Centre
