The Graduate Student Society - UBC Vancouver (GSS) is the independent voice of graduate students at the Point Grey campus of the University of British Columbia (UBC). We serve fellow graduate students on multiple levels:

*Advocates for and protects the interests of graduate students at UBC;

*Supports graduate students in their studies or facing academic problems;

* Organises social, sport, and

recreational events;

* Publishes The Graduate Magazine monthly and the annual Graduate Student Handbook.

* Operates the Thea Koerner House Graduate Student Centre, including Koerner’s Pub, Thea’s Lounge, and more. The GSS Advocates on such issues as:

Timely payment of research stipends, teaching assistant stipends, and major scholarships. Improved relations between supervisors and students.
