UBC Political Science Students' Association - UBC PSSA

UBC Political Science Students' Association - UBC PSSA The official page of the UBC Political Science Students' Association. Check out our website!

The PSSA is an entirely student-run department club, supported by the UBC Political Science department. We strive to provide all undergraduate students interested in political science with opportunities to learn more about the discipline by hosting entertaining and informative events, and social events that connect them with other students with similar interests. Our ultimate goal is to cultivate

a prosperous undergraduate environment for political science students. The PSSA represents the interests of students, and presents them to the faculty, which means we take concerns and suggestions seriously, in such a way that can make an actual difference in student life. Ever wondered who writes the newsletters or makes our amazing graphics? 🧐 Here they are!

The team sat down with the presidents of the PSSA and we said to them we wanted to make history. And that’s what this is 🤷‍♀️. Our marketing team works hard to deliver important information on events and initiatives to Poli-Sci students throughout the year. We also work together to produce engaging and relatable content for students through our podcasts and reels on Instagram and Youtube! Plus, we held THREE headshot events this year. All free of charge for students to get their professional photos taken🔥.

These are the individuals that made everything possible this year. The PSSA wouldn’t be the same without them! Are you interested in joining this amazing team? Keep an eye out for hiring in later months. 👀

Getting those last minute co-op or job applications in? You’ll need a good headshot! 🔥 Luckily for you, we’re here to help. ✅

If you have been unable to secure a spot our last two sessions, now is your chance! Register now on our sheets page in our bio. 📸 In the spreadsheet, you will also find a link to our new Headshots Guide, made to prepare you for your picture!

‼️ PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED A PSSA HEADSHOT THIS YEAR, YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO REGISTER FOR THIS SESSION. This is to ensure as many people as possible are able to get their photo taken. We will be removing students from the spreadsheet that violate this rule to open them up for others.

We will notify the confirmed participants once the page has been filled and verified by the team.

See you there! 😊
