Taninli Wright – A Powerful Voice 🎭

New Image College is proud to celebrate First Nations actor Taninli Wright, whose recent performance in the world premiere of On Native Land by Corey Payette has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Across a 10-day run, every performance ended in a standing ovation—an undeniable reflection of the power, truth, and presence Taninli brought to the stage. Her work is grounded, honest, and deeply connected—hallmarks of a dedicated and disciplined actor.

At New Image, we train actors to step into the moment with confidence and authenticity. Taninli embodies that training—meeting the nerves, trusting the work, and delivering performances that resonate with audiences in a profound way.

Philip Granger, longtime Head of NIC’s Film Acting Conservatory, is appearing in one of the most anticipated films of 2026. A24’s Backrooms sees Philip opposite Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor.

If you ask Phil about his character, he’ll only tell you one thing: “a presence in the hum” — and that’s all he’s giving us.

We’re incredibly proud of Philip, and we can’t wait for everyone to see him on screen. Backrooms is in theatres now, May 28th! 🎟️

Rodrigo Torres Zambrano is hitting an exciting new milestone, booking a national car commercial and gaining real momentum in Vancouver’s competitive acting scene🎬

The 21-year-old actor, originally from Monterrey, Mexico, is a second-year student of the NIC Acting Conservatory, where his training is already translating into professional success.

At NIC, Rodrigo has pushed his craft to a new level—developing a strong on-camera presence, emotional range, and the confidence to deliver under pressure. In a rigorous, industry-focused environment, he quickly turned dedication into results.

This national commercial marks a breakthrough moment and shows a disciplined, driven performer ready for bigger opportunities. With the foundation he’s building at NIC and a clear passion for storytelling, Rodrigo is killing it.

NIC Acting graduate Carolina Rolo has been cast in The Casket Girls, an upcoming horror film directed by Justin Dyck. She’ll be sharing the set with Philip Granger, NIC’s own Acting department head, also cast in the production.

Carolina moved from Brazil to Vancouver in 2018 to study at New Image College, and she’s been building her career ever since, with credits on Maid (Netflix), Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies (Paramount+), and Animal Control (Fox/hulu).

We’re so proud of her! 👏

Our nail students practicing on each other while learning every step of a classic pedicure!

From soaking and prepping, to cuticle care, shaping, exfoliating, relaxing massage, and finishing with polish application. It’s all about building confidence and learning the process step by step. Practice makes progress, and this is where it all comes together!

So nice to see everyone improving and enjoying the process!!
