Blanche Macdonald Senior Fashion Design Instructor and graduate Evan Clayton is featured in The Vancouver Sun, marking 12 powerful years of fashion that speaks from the heart. His designs have been seen on the red carpet, runway and on screen and has been worn by stars including Candice Swanepoel, Doja Cat, Carly Rae Jepsen.
His newest collection, PHYLLIS, is named after his grandmother, “a love letter to family, aging, and shared wisdom,” and draws profound inspiration from the trans community in response to today’s political climate.
“This collection imagines a world where trans women grow old, share wisdom, and are celebrated.”
With bold ’80s silhouettes, corsetry, lace, and colour, Evan’s work proves fashion can be both beautiful and brave.
