The deadline for submissions to the Journal of Historical Studies has been extended to 11:59 PM, January 15th, 2022. If you missed the first deadline, this is your opportunity to submit papers!

The UBC Journal of Historical Studies is now accepting submissions for the 2021-2022 edition. We welcome submissions from all undergraduate students, regardless of year, faculty, or specialization. Submissions must be of historical relevance. While we prefer papers demonstrating original research, we will consider all papers submitted.
Please carefully review the submission requirements:
- You may submit a maximum of 2 papers that have achieved a minimum grade of 85% (A). The editorial board will assess the merit of the submission based on the quality of the paper, not solely the grade.
- Following Chicago-Style Citations (ideally 17th Edition)
- Written in 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced and no more than 30 pages in length (excluding bibliography)
- Must not have been previously published, nor has it been submitted for consideration to another journal
- In Word (.doc) format
