✨ Student Spotlight: Aukse | CHIMA Award Recipient ✨

With a background in chemistry and a career in digital health, Aukse enrolled in UVic’s Health Terminology & Interoperability Standards Micro Certificate to strengthen her knowledge of structured health information.

Now a Health Informatics Support Specialist with a First Nations Health Authority, she shares the program helped her both learn new concepts and better articulate existing knowledge.

💬 “Technology has structure, rules, and reason. Health information needs the same shared language across systems.”

Her dedication earned her the CHIMA Future of Health Information Award, recognizing leaders who are helping shape the future of health data in Canada.
