What does it mean to build a more nourishing, equitable school community? Our Elementary PDP teacher candidates got to explore this question through an inspiring presentation and hands-on workshops with Flourish! School Food Society, a local non-profit working to ensure students have access to nourishing food and meaningful food-learning experiences.

We’re proud to bring our teacher candidates into this important, impactful, and inspiring work during their program. We hope they carry these lessons into their future classrooms and careers, helping build school communities where every student has access to nourishing foods that they can pause and enjoy!

A huge thank you to Matthew Kemshaw and the Flourish! team, as well as the Victoria Compost Education Centre for sharing their knowledge, passion, and vision with our future educators!

NEW from Passeport Franco!

We’re excited to introduce Café-Français with Hugo Surridge—a new offer exclusively for Teacher Education students!

These free, drop-in sessions are a chance to build your confidence using French while exploring real-life communication, education-related vocabulary, natural French expressions, and common anglicisms to avoid. The focus is on the French you’ll use throughout your Teacher Education program and in your future teaching practice.

🎓 For Teacher Education students with a working knowledge of French (approximately B1–B2+)

Joignez-vous à nous pour un atelier animé par Andrée-Anne Tilby sur l’acquisition et le développement des habiletés en lecture en contexte d’immersion.
