UVIC Grad House You don't have to be a graduate student to enjoy the best food on UVIC campus. Local fresh ingredients, meals made to order, featuring local craft beer on tap.

Enjoy our unique menu which features ingredients that are sourced as close to home as seasonally and economically possible to ensure freshness and support to British Columbian producers. Whenever possible we support local suppliers and artisans. (Have you sat in one of our booths? They are locally made from sustainably harvested white oak!)

dmade daily to ensure taste and quality. Our menu strives to feed grad students affordable meals. Grad students with Valid ID receive a discount on many food items. Check the menu for details. Our libation list features British Columbian wine, distilled spirits, micro brews and cider from Vancouver Island at grad student prices. Children are welcome, and special diets can always be accommodated. Don't have time to dine in? Try our take-out in a compostable, oven-safe container. NB: As a campus eatery, we have shorter hours in summer and are sometimes closed for intersession breaks.

Hello Everyone,

The Grad House and Side Project are closed as of today (March 18th) due to the current extraordinary situation created by COVID-19.

Thank you so much to all of our wonderful customers. The support you have shown us this year have been amazing and we are really excited to see you once there is more normalcy in the world.

While we are not usually great about checking the messages on this page, I will do my best over the next bit so that anyone with questions can have them answered to the best of my abilities.

Hello All,

The Grad House is open for lunch today, but to help ensure the health of both our customers and staff we will only be opening half our tables (as this allows us to create distance between them). Similarly, we ask that you allow us to provide you water rather than just grabbing a glass.

Side Project is also open but we are only serving coffees to go. If you desire milk, cream or sugar, please tell our barista and they will be happy to provide it for you.

It appears that my optimism was excessive yesterday, and we will also be closing at 2:30pm today. (For those concerned, I have just double checked and we will be open tomorrow evening.)

On the upside, Side Project is open as normal today.
