Researchers Rana Van Tuyl and Cheryl Heykoop are part of a team working on the first comprehensive project to analyze BC’s pregnancy loss rates. The goal? Help bereaved parents be seen and supported, no matter what trimester and gestational age a pregnancy loss happens at.

Royal Roads University is a publicly funded, applied research university that has focused on lifelong education since 1995.

What does success look like? For Michael Hoang, a Royal Roads MBA shifted the definition from career metrics to community impact.

Starting his MBA to gain a competitive advantage in his corporate career, Michael’s path was more profound than he expected. Along with gaining executive skills and completing a special intensive summer school in Switzerland, his time at RRU taught him that leadership isn't about moving fast — it's about moving meaningfully.

This Thanksgiving, we’re celebrating the abundance of the harvest at The Farm and the community behind it. Last week, we gathered to celebrate the season and share a meal, complete with fresh-pressed apple juice — all grown right here. 🥧🍎🧄

Thanks to the many hands that helped bring in this year’s harvest — donors, students, volunteers and staff — we donated more than $10,000 worth of fresh produce from The Farm at Royal Roads to share with our community. The fruits (and vegetables) of your labour continue to make it all possible.

On top of the harvest feast, there was apple pressing, an earth loom, live music and connection. Catering by the talented Beaumont Catering

Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management students recently visited Salt Spring Island and Bloom Castle by the Sea with associate faculty member Trina White. Students explored what it means to create tourism that cares for place, people and the future.

They saw public policy in action through the relationship between the Farmland Trust and Royal Roads University and examined the balance between tourism demand and supply.

A big part of the day was reflecting on sense of place and what that means for each of us as visitors, students, and future tourism professionals. 🌱

Earlier this month, we welcomed colleagues from our global recruitment network to Victoria, BC, for a special familiarization tour. It was an opportunity to connect, collaborate and experience the Royal Roads difference firsthand.

From an unforgettable evening at historic Hatley Castle to exploring our Colwood and Langford campuses, discovering sustainability in action at The Farm at RRU, experiencing the RRU cohort model, and connecting with teams across the university, every moment was about building stronger partnerships and creating new possibilities.

Most importantly, it was a chance to share ideas, exchange insights, ask questions, and strengthen the relationships that help students from around the world find their path to Royal Roads.

Thank you to all the incredible people who joined us and brought their energy, curiosity, and commitment to the experience.
