UVic Behavioural Medicine Lab

UVic Behavioural Medicine Lab Our mission is to produce and disseminate innovative and population-relevant physical activity and health research of the highest calibre.

The BMED lab was created in 2004 by Dr. Ryan Rhodes. The lab includes administration staff, research project coordinators, and postdoctoral, doctoral, masters, and undergraduate trainees conducting research in physical activity and population health. BMED research has a primary focus on physical activity and families, youth, and older adults.

The Behaviour Medicine Laboratory, part of the Faculty of Health at the University of Victoria is currently conducting several intervention trials exploring recent retirees and family-based physical activity. We are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing individuals to help with fitness testing for our current trials. For this position, you will be collaborating with the research teams, but most importantly you will be engaging with the participants who come in for fitness testing.
