Congratulations Monika Bhardwaj - recipient of the 2026 Promising Alumni Award from Camosun College, in recognition of her community service and continued commitment to lifelong learning.✨✌🏼
Monika moved from India to Canada with a Bachelor of Psychology in 2021, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, to pursue post-degree studies in Business Administration, HR Management and Leadership option at Camosun.
She served on the Board of Directors for Camosun College Student Society and was recognized for her academic and service achievements with 2023 Lieutenant Governor’s Medal for Inclusion, Democracy and Reconciliation.
Monika exemplifies lifelong learning, consistently investing time and effort to deepen her knowledge after graduation and strengthen her ability to lead with insight, empathy and impact. She earned Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation in 2025, became certified in advanced leadership practices and completed specialized trauma-informed training.
Monika has some advice for current students. “We’re navigating tremendous change in technology, the workforce, and education. While change can be hard, but don’t let it overwhelm you. Stay curious, do your research and resist the urge to map out your entire life at once.”
Monika will receive her award at the graduation ceremony on June 17🎓
