Our two campuses serve approximately 19,000 learners a year in certificate, diploma, bachelor's degree and continuing education programs. The college welcomed its first students in 1971 and adopted the name “Camosun”, a local Lkwungen (Songhees) First Nation name meaning “where different waters meet and are transformed.” Today, Camosun College offers over 160 innovative programs to help meet the needs of students and communities in Victoria and beyond.

Important Update! BC Transit’s upcoming Fall service changes and transit improvements starting Sept. 8!

Here’s what you need to know:
-Introduction of the new Route 72A Swartz Bay/YYJ/Downtown, which will provide direct early morning and late-night service between Downtown Victoria, Victoria International Airport, and Swartz Bay.
-The return of full-service levels on routes serving K-12 and post-secondary schools, including the reintroduction of school-dedicated routes for the academic year.
-The seasonal return of Route 17 Cedar Hill and Route 76 UVic/Swartz Bay.
-Seasonal service reductions on Route 70 Swartz Bay/Downtown and Route 75 Saanichton/Royal Oak/Downtown.
-Continued detours on Route 85 North Saanich due to ongoing construction on West Saanich Road, including the temporary closure of six bus stops until construction is complete later this fall.

We encourage staff and students to use the Umo app, Google Transit or any other app of their choice for real-time bus tracking and planning your transit journey this Fall. For more information please visit bctransit.com/victoria.

Incoming new students this Fall, are you ready for classes? Get prepared by completing the Pre-Arrival Student Orientation on D2L! Learn about important pre-arrival tasks, student services, and campus life at your own pace.

Once you complete the orientation, you can enter into a draw to win a Camosun College Prize Pack, which includes a backpack, hoodie, and water bottle.

Eric came to Camosun College with the clear goal of studying Kinesiology and dreaming of wearing a Chargers’ jersey. Sport had always shaped his life.

“I’ve always loved sport and exercise so having the chance to study how the body responds and adapts to training while playing collegiate sport in an incredible facility was super tempting,” says Eric.

Over his five seasons with the Camosun Chargers Athletics , he grew not just as an athlete, but as a leader and teammate balancing early‑morning lifts, late‑night study sessions, cross‑country road trips, and the relentless push to improve. We wish you all the best Eric!

Last week, Camosun’s graduating Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering students presented their capstone projects at the annual showcase! ⭐⭐

This event was an opportunity for students to present their learnings through projects that demonstrate creativity, technical expertise, and real-world problem-solving abilities. 👏 👏

Both events were well attended by employers, staff, students and community members and was a wonderful learning experience for all. Well done students!
