Our two campuses serve approximately 19,000 learners a year in certificate, diploma, bachelor's degree and continuing education programs. The college welcomed its first students in 1971 and adopted the name “Camosun”, a local Lkwungen (Songhees) First Nation name meaning “where different waters meet and are transformed.” Today, Camosun College offers over 160 innovative programs to help meet the needs of students and communities in Victoria and beyond.

160 students from Grade 9-12 from School Districts 61, 62, 63, 64 and 79 visited the Interurban Campus on May 28 to explore a variety of trades and tech programs at the CICAN World of Choices Summit. 🔨⚙️🚜

Students were given a tour of the Electrical, Automotive, Electronics, Carpentry, Culinary Arts, Mechanical Engineering, Pipe Trades and Civil Engineering facilities at Camosun and engaged in hands-on activities to get a teaser of what a career in these fields could look like!

Special thanks to the event organizers, instructors and teachers who accompanied the students. As youth across Canada become more prepared for their future, we hope such interactive events equip them with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions.

Eric came to Camosun College with the clear goal of studying Kinesiology and dreaming of wearing a Chargers’ jersey. Sport had always shaped his life.

“I’ve always loved sport and exercise so having the chance to study how the body responds and adapts to training while playing collegiate sport in an incredible facility was super tempting,” says Eric.

Over his five seasons with the , he grew not just as an athlete, but as a leader and teammate balancing early‑morning lifts, late‑night study sessions, cross‑country road trips, and the relentless push to improve. After completing the Kinesiology program as a President’s Trophy winner for earning the highest GPA among all Chargers athletes, Eric is now in the Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) program, and hopes to blend his skills and passions.
