The Midnight Sun Solar Car Team is an
internationally competitive solar race team. As a subsidiary of the University of Waterloo, we have built 10 cars since Midnight Sun’s inception in 1988. The Midnight Sun Solar Race Team is composed of close to 200 students over the course of each car, which are built and raced on a biannual basis. We compete in two major international solar car competitions; the North American Solar Challenge and the World Solar Challenge, which is held in Australia.
