A global consultation is now open to inform upcoming United Nations discussions on a Convention on the Rights of Older Persons. This is a critical opportunity to ensure the experiences and priorities of people living with dementia—and those who support them—are reflected in what comes next.

Takes 15–20 minutes

We would like to congratulate one of our team members on our End of Life Project, Linda Grossman, who participated in the creation of a new short video. The video is the pilot episode on the Stories for Caregivers YouTube channel. It will be available to view for one month while the team involved gathers community feedback. It has a very important message and is well worth the five minutes it takes to watch. Please feel free to share with people you feel might be interested in the video.

Are you a person living with, or caring for someone with, Alzheimer’s disease or mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease? If so, we want to hear from you! Health Canada is currently reviewing Leqembi (lecanemab) and donanemab, two medications to treat early-stage Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer Society of Canada is conducting a survey that will help inform how these medications could be included in publicly funded drug plans, if approved by Health Canada. We encourage you to take a few moments to ensure that the voices of people with lived experience are represented and considered during this review process.
