📢 Hey, first-year students!
Meet Stephanie, an incoming fourth year Health Sciences student and Laurier 101 Host this summer!

We did a little interview with Stephanie to get to know her better, here’s the highlights!

🎤 Biggest Lesson in First Year: Pick all of your courses as soon as possible. Classes fill up quick!

🎤 Best Piece of Advice: You don’t need to have everything already figured out!

Laurier 101 Hosts are current Laurier students who are here to help you prepare for September and the transition to university. Connect with them at Laurier 101 events and ask them about life at Laurier!

Meet Sophia, an incoming fourth year English and Cultural Studies student and Laurier 101 Host this summer!

We did a little interview with Sophia to get to know her better, here’s the highlights!

🎤 Biggest Lesson in First Year: Something I wished I knew in 1st year was studying effectively rather than studying for as long as possible. You need sleep, exercise, and good food to study at your best. Don’t give that up to study for an all nighter.

🎤 Favourite Elective: Definitely was NO105: Beavers, Billionaires, and Banditos. Super fun class with awesome profs teaching it. Regardless of your program, you will learn a lot and have fun doing it.

📢 Hey, first-year students! Meet Rachel, an incoming third year English and Women & Gender Studies student, and Laurier 101 Host this summer!

We did a little interview with Rachel to get to know her better, here’s the highlights!

🎤 Favourite First Year Memory: My favourite first year memory was Hawk Weekend! Hawk Weekend is an inter-residence and LOCUS (Laurier Off-Campus University Students) weekend competition. Each community gets to compete in mini games, cheer offs, lip sync battles, and so much more. It was such a fun experience getting to show our community pride and building relationships with fellow first-year students.

🎤 Best Piece of Advice: Don’t take 8 ams if you’re not a morning person!
