Students from NC’s Carpentry and Renovation Technician program took their skills into the fields of Niagara-on-the-Lake to build the foundation for a permanent, large scale community art initiative.

Fifth-term students worked alongside professional carpenters and engineers to install the structural framing for “the Three Sisters” an inaugural piece of the “Thanks for the Meal” heritage project. The installation is located in a field just west of The Hare W**e Co. on the eastern side of Niagara Stone Road.

Led by neuroscientist, psychologist and artist Ron Clavier, the project is designed to honour the diverse cultural communities that have shaped Niagara’s agricultural landscape. Read more ⤵️
