Niagara College Broadcasting students were back behind the camera this summer for another world-class sporting event.

As White Oaks Resort and Spa in Niagara hosted the 2026 World Junior Squash Championships, a crew of NC students took to the court and behind the scenes to capture a full-scale production. The student crew took on professional-level roles in directing, camera operation, audio, replay, robotics, streaming and technical support, bringing the championship action to audiences around the world.

Niagara College’s cycling team is gearing up for the Big Move Cancer Ride on Sunday, September 13, and there’s still time to register or to donate.

Anyone can join the team— employees, students, alumni, as well as family and friends— and all cycling levels are welcome. Route options include a 25K, 50K, 75K or 14K Fun Ride through scenic Pelham, starting and ending at White Meadows Farms.

All funds raised through the event support equipment purchases for the Walker Family Cancer Centre at Niagara Health, helping patients in the Niagara region receive care close-to-home. Read more ⤵️

Niagara College’s Teaching Brewery has added another feather to its brewing cap, with NC Craft IPA taking silver at the prestigious 2026 U.S. Open Beer Championship in the highly competitive English India Pale Ale / IPA category.

The winning IPA was developed by Head Brewer Ian Morrison, with Lead Brewer Adam Marshall, and both second- and final-semester students contributing to the brew. With entries from around the globe across more than 180 categories and subcategories, the silver is a great reflection of the quality and care that goes into NC Craft beers, and the hands-on learning students experience throughout the brewing process.
