It's almost that time of year again, and we've got another (exciting) season of paddling to come!
For those who are interested in joining the team, we will be running a couple on the water trials at the Welland International Flatwater Center, 16 Townline Tunnel rd, Welland. on September 12th and 14th from 5:00 - 6:30. There will be a $10 fee associated with these trials.
As well, we will be having regular practices from 5:00-6:30 on September 10th, 17th, 19th, 24th, and 26th, and on October 1st, 3rd, and 10th. It is mandatory to make 1 practice per week.
We will also try to on land practices, we are looking at September - November. Sessions will be held on Friday's and times are yet to be determined.
All fees will be paid via student account, therefore athletes must sign up with their full name as it appears on their student card and their student number, no other methods of payment or registration will be accepted.
*ALL individuals wishing to try-out or join must complete the appropriate health forms, and athlete forms located in their student portal PRIOR to attending try-outs. Athlete and health forms can be found by logging into your student portal.
Please follow the steps below to register online as an athlete:
* Log into your mybrocku.ca account.
* Go to Applicant and student self serve
* Click on register in new tab, look on the left side and click "Athletics"
* Then click "Athletics Form"
* Create a new form by clicking the box that says "New"
* Complete forms
As we are still a new club, we are still not widely known. If you know anyone who might be interested, feel free to send them our way. More the merrier!

· Come to WIFC prepared
· Be on time
· Treat others with fairness and respect
· Take responsibility for actions
· Respect team mates
· Respect coaching staff
· Recognize that the coaching staff are in charge at all times
· Relay any questions or concerns in a respectful manner
· Respect all equipment. If you need assistance to store or carry a boat – ask a coach immediately.
· Respect the equipment of others. Cannot use the equipment of others without their consent
· Thank those who contribute to their paddling development
Due to the nature of the sport, once the boat departs the dock, they will not be returning to pick up additional paddlers, please arrive on time to reserve your spot on the boat.
