This month, we had the pleasure of welcoming a cohort of engineering students from Toyota Technological Institute in Japan to Niagara College (Official) as part of their customized training program.

Their experience included classroom learning followed by hands-on visits to our innovation centres, including WAMIC and HESIC.

Students explored everything from advanced manufacturing and engineering to agriculture and emerging technologies, while getting a behind-the-scenes look at how industry partnerships and applied research work in a Canadian college environment and heard directly from our students about the projects they’ve worked on with industry partners.

Last night, we had the pleasure of hosting the NOTL Chamber of Commerce Chamber on Tap event at Benchmark Restaurant, welcoming more than 60 Chamber members for an evening of connection, conversation, and learning.

Guests had the opportunity to learn more about Niagara College’s learning enterprises and applied research initiatives while connecting with fellow members of the Niagara-on-the-Lake business community.

Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Gr.11 Sir Winston Churchill SS marketing students back on campus to present their Innovation Mentorship Program final presentations to Mahtay Cafe & Lounge.

The student groups presented new marketing initiatives, impactful community partnerships and rebranding strategies that reflect the inclusive feel of Mahtay Cafe.

We are always blown away by the quality of work from these students. Congratulations to all of you!

Honoured to be recognized as Business of the Year at the 2026 Business Achievement Awards.

At Niagara College Research and Innovation, our five innovation centres collaborate with SMEs across diverse sectors including food and beverage, horticulture and environmental sciences, healthy aging and wellness, manufacturing, and business and commercialization.

Together with our industry partners, students, faculty, and staff, we help businesses innovate, commercialize ideas, and move projects forward through applied research and hands-on collaboration.
