Richard Van Camp ✍️
A recipient of the Order of the Northwest Territories, Richard Van Camp is a proud Tlicho Dene from Fort Smith NWT, an internationally renowned storyteller and best-selling author of 31 books and graphic novels including The Spirit of Denendeh series & Moccasin Square Gardens.
His novel, The Lesser Blessed, was adapted into a movie by First Generation Films.
Clea Roberts ✍️
Clea Roberts’s writing has been nominated for the League of Canadian Poets Gerald Lampert Award, the ReLit Award and a National Magazine Award.
Clea has taught fiction and hybrid forms at SFU’s The Writers Studio and facilitates writing workshops at Hospice Yukon and the Individual Learning Centre.
She is currently working on a book of essays about grief, family and becoming and a novel set during the Klondike gold rush.
Laurence Fox ✍️
Laurence Fox is a proudly q***r, trans, working-class writer and journalist who has called the Yukon home for more than a decade.
Their work, which focuses on the intersection of class, capitalism, gender, and the environment, has appeared with The Globe and Mail, CBC, The Guardian, and The Narwhal, among many others.
They are the author of two books, This Has Always Been a War: The Radicalization of a Working-Class Q***r, and This Book is a Knife: Radical Working-Class Strategies in the Age of Climate Change, the latter of which won the 2026 the B.C-Yukon Book Prize Jim Deva Award for Writing That Provokes.
They are currently working on their first novel and their third non-fiction book, because apparently they hate sleep and free time.
