Pinoy Organization of Windsor Students POWS is a new Filipino group at the University of Windsor to create new social and cultural friends affiliated with the Philippines.

POWS (Pinoy Organization of Windsor Students) is a new Filipino club at the University of Windsor to create new social and cultural friends affiliated with the Philippines! Non-Filipinos are also invited to join the group and learn more about the Filipino culture. POWS is also affiliated with UFSAO (United Filipino Student Association of Ontario) which is a compilation of Filipino Student Associat

ions from Colleges or Universities across Ontario. Events around Ontario include Basketball Tournaments, SuperSkillz, and the Annual FSA Gala. Within the City, students are encouraged to participate and volunteer at the FCC (Filipino Community Centre) to get connected with the local Filipino Community and further explore the culture alongside many other Pinoys of Windsor. Events that occur at the FCC include events for Mother's Day, Christmas, Grand Galas, and Carrousel of the Nations. Students also participate with Salin Lahi, a traditional Filipino dance group established by the FCC. To find out more about the FCC, visit fcciwindsor.com
