UWindsor Alumni

POV: your mom’s 2005 grad dress becomes your 2026 full-circle moment. 👗🎓💛

Twenty-one years ago, Nadine Manroe-Wakerell (BA, Hons ’05) crossed the University of Windsor convocation stage as a young mother.

This spring, her daughter, Gabrielle (BSc ’26), followed in her footsteps and graduated as a Lancer, with her mom, Nadine, there to greet her as a member of the UWindsor Board of Governors.

But that wasn’t the only full-circle moment. Gabrielle was wearing the very same dress her mom wore to her graduation 21 years earlier. 🥹

Different generation. Same dress. Same Lancer pride.

Then. Now. Always a Lancer. 💙💛
