What a powerful day honoring a wonderful legacy 🕊️💛

A huge thank you to everyone who stepped up, joined us at Malden Park, and donated to the 6th Annual Steps for Sue walkathon! A special thank you to the Skorbiak family for helping this all come together.

Thanks to this incredible community, we raised $3,250, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to The Hospice of Windsor!

Sue’s impact on the Odette MBA program and beyond continues to touch so many lives. Thank you for walking with us, sharing stories, and making this year’s event so memorable! 👟✨

Huge thank you to Tal Czudner, CEO of the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel, for taking the time to speak with our class! 🚗💨

Beyond sharing invaluable insights on executive leadership, financial acuity, and cross-border operations, Tal got to see a special tribute from our class. Katie, a talented artist in our program, painted this piece capturing his leadership, and we’re framing it to hang permanently in the MBA lounge to honor his legacy as a 2x uwindsor alum!

From insightful keynotes on AI in modern business by Dean Dr. Josianne Marsan and Enterprise Architect Alain Fortier, to speed-networking with executive leaders from across the region, it was an unforgettable evening of growth and collaboration. 🤝

A look inside our visit to Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare! 🏥✨

We spent the day learning about HDGH’s incredible impact as the Lead Agency for mental health and addiction programs in Windsor-Essex, exploring their specialized services (like their one-of-a-kind Problem Gambling & Digital Dependency program!), and touring the main facility.

Special thank you to Sherri Laframboise (Chief Financial Officer) and Sheri McGeen (Chief Human Resources Officer) for welcoming us, sharing their leadership insights, and guiding us through HDGH’s strategic mission to expand care in our community! 💙

A huge thank you to Sandra and Keats for spending time with the Odette MBA Society today! 🌟

From navigating career journeys to managing pressure from all directions, their insights on authentic leadership gave us so much to reflect on. They reminded us that true leadership comes down to self-advocacy, radical accountability, and staying honest about your core values. Most importantly, they left us with the reminder that every stage of your career holds a valuable lesson, nothing is a waste of time, comparison is the thief of joy, and keeping your own happiness aligned with your work should always be paramount.
