There’s still time to register for the 2026 DFM CONNECT Conference, happening October 16–17, 2026 at LAUNCH Coworking Space Downtown.

Join colleagues from across Manitoba and beyond for two days focused on learning, collaboration and connection. The conference is designed to strengthen partnerships, support clinical teaching and leadership, and create opportunities to learn from and with one another.

The CFPC Chapter office certifies the conference for up to 8.5 hours of Mainpro+® activity credits.

* Distributed Education and the DFM
* A CMPA workshop on building trust and navigating conflict

Join the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences’ Department of Family Medicine on October 16–17, 2026 at LAUNCH Coworking Space Downtown for two days of learning, collaboration and connection.

Designed for DFM faculty from across Manitoba and beyond, the conference will bring colleagues together to strengthen partnerships, develop skills in clinical teaching, academia and leadership, and explore creative approaches to problem-solving.

The 2026 DFM CONNECT Conference has been certified by the CFPC Chapter office, and attendees can receive up to 8.5 hours of Mainpro+ activity credits.

Sessions include:

* Welcoming faculty and making connections with peers
* Team trivia
* Distributed Education and the DFM

The DFM Pet Calendar Photo Competition is Back!

After the success of our first-ever pet calendar, we’re searching for the 12 new stars of the 2027 Department of Family Medicine Pet Calendar!

Department of Family Medicine faculty and staff are invited to submit their photo any time before October 31, 2026.

On Friday, August 21, the Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) community gathered for the Class of 2026 Grad Dinner to celebrate graduating students’ accomplishments and perseverance.

The gathering also provided an opportunity to honour the memory of Will Husarewycz and reflect on the important place he held within the Class of 2026.

Congratulations to the MPAS Class of 2026 on all you have accomplished. We wish you every success as you move forward in your careers and continue making a difference in the lives of your patients and communities.
