U of W Access Education University of Winnipeg's Access Education is an extension of the Faculty of Education's Integrated Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education Program.

If you have ever dreamed of pursuing a profession in the field of education but you did not believe it was possible due to financial, social, or academic reasons, then Access Education is for you. Through our three programs - WEC, CATEP, and ITEP - we provide academic opportunities for residents of Winnipeg's inner city, as well as single parents, mature students, indigenous people and visible min

orities. It has long been recognized that there is an under-representation of indigenous and immigrant populations in the teaching profession. Often students who are representative of these groups are struggling with circumstances and obstacles not experienced by the traditional university student. Our programs are uniquely tailored to their backgrounds and needs, ensuring long term growth and success.
