University of Manitoba Women's and Gender Studies Program

University of Manitoba Women's and Gender Studies Program The women's and gender studies program offers B.A. general, advanced, and honour's degrees, as well as a minor program.

As a dynamic and interdisciplinary program, we explore a wide range of social, political and cultural issues, focused on social justice, gender relations, anti-racism, and feminism. Fundamental questions of equality and social justice are still very much with us, and as a dynamic interdisciplinary program, we explore both current and historical debates about women's experiences, gender relations,

anti-racism, social justice work, and feminism. Courses take diverse theoretical and practical approaches, including feminist cultural studies and studies of popular culture, violence against women, lesbian and queer studies, gender and environmental justice, women in science and technology, gendered violence in urban spaces, sex work and sex workers, feminist geography, Indigenous feminisms, anti-racist feminisms more generally, and masculinity studies.
