The 2021 CAC Annual Conference will be held virtually, May 25 -28.

The University of Manitoba's Dr. Lea Stirling will be presenting on Tuesday, May 25th at 1:00pm EDT as part of the Foremothers of Classics in Canada panel.

Featuring Maud Reed's stories about the Underworld from her text 'Julia':
'Persephone and Ceres' - the abduction of Persephone by Pluto, Lord of the Dead. and
'Orpheus and Eurydice' - the quest of Orpheus to retrieve his lost love Eurydice from the Underworld.

The reading group will start mid-May, using an online forum, and weekly readings will be provided with text, grammar notes, and vocabulary.
