Join us in celebrating Science Literacy Week! 🥳 This year’s theme, Curiosity Unleashed, invites everyone to explore, play, and notice the world in new ways.
Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Festival Hall, Manitoba Museum, 190 Rupert Ave.
We have some booths and are located in a completely free-access area of the museum, no admission required! See you there! 🥳
One of our booths is the Immunity Hero! 🥳 It’s an interactive activity that teaches attendees the basics of the immune system through play.
The participants will use Velcro paddies as their “immunity shields” to defend against “villain viruses” that would stick to the shield when unprotected. 🛡️
As the game progresses, attendees add immune system “superheroes” - white blood cells, NK cells, memory cells, and antibodies - to strengthen their shields and fight off viruses.
When viruses still managed to stick, participants learned how a Vaccine booster could provide extra protection. 🔬
