Asper's 2016-2017 First Year Committee is made up of 2 First Year Representatives and 8 Committee Chairs. Along with members of the First Year Council (anyone in their first year at Asper), we will be organizing charity events with the Boys and Girls Club of Winnipeg, as well as the traditional Get Lei'd social! We are so proud to announce that as of this year, the ASPER First Year Committee has raised $6418.47 for our charity, the Children’s Hospital Foundation. We would like to thank everyone that helped support us throughout the year and helped donate to such a worthy cause ❤️

1. Why did you join First Year Committee?
Ans:
Austin: I was interested in FYC because I wanted to get involved with improving student life for first-year Asper students and dip my foot into the CSA.

Max: I wanted to give first-years the experience I didn’t realize I needed: events that make you feel connected, welcomed, and slightly less confused.

2. What is a fun fact about you?
Austin: My address number is 67

Max: I’m somehow both over-prepared and under-prepared for every event at the same time. It’s a talent.

1) Why did you joined First Year Committee?
Ans:
Daneca: I joined First Year Committee, because I wanted to meet fresh faces, hear new stories, and start creating my own little community here at Asper.

Tristan: I applied to be in First Year Committee to start my journey here in Asper School of Business. As soon as the opportunity of First Year Rep rised up, I knew that there would be no better time to start then now.

2) What is your favourite song?

Join us for 💼 Asper vs Engineering Trivia Night ⚙️

When: March 13th, 2025
Where: Drake Center ( Room 343 )
Prize: 100$ for team to split

Doors open at 5:30 pm, Trivia starts at 6 pm!

Open to all undergraduate students - form a team of 4-5, pick your side ( Asper or Engineering), and get ready for three rounds of trivia,including a final showdown
