The Acadia School of Kinesiology and SMILE were well represented at the North American Federation of Adapted Physical Activity biannual conference last week with (left to right) Nikki Matthews (SMILE program and research assistant), Ueli Albert (PhD student in Educational Studies and KINE part-time instructor), Dr. Emily Bremer (Acadia University, Canada Research Chair in Healthy, Inclusive Communities), as well as alumni Dr. Heidi Stanish (Professor, UMass Boston), Dr. Megan MacDonald (Professor, Oregon State University), and Dr. Meghann Lloyd (Associate Professor, Ontario Tech University) all in attendance. It is always amazing to see the reach and impact that SMILE and Acadia KINE has through its alumni, continually producing leaders in adapted physical activity.
