Lea will discuss Speaking ALS: An Anthology, a moving collection of memoirs, essays, and non-fiction poetry from people living with ALS, caregivers, and members of the ALS community.

As Convocation 2026 comes to a close, this year’s graduating class leaves behind a lasting impact on campus for future students.

“While we say goodbye here today, this is not a forever goodbye. As we move into our role as Acadia alumni, our legacy will continue through the Class of 2026 gift to the new Student Centre courtyard, a welcoming space for students to gather, connect, and recharge. We hope it will be a place where friendships are built, ideas shared, and memories made for years to come,” says Sophie Vertanness, Life Class President, Class of 2026.
