Hello Graduate Students!

We hope your Summer has been going well! With the school year quickly approaching it may be time to start thinking about how you can get involved with Acadia. Joining the Acadia Graduate Students Executive Committee is a great way to meet your fellow graduate students and be active in the graduate community.

The AGS Exec is a group of 5-7 new and current graduate students whose main role is to plan and oversee events for Acadia graduate students as well as organize Acadia's annual Student Research and Innovation Conference. Current open positions for the 2017-18 year include:

- Communications (1)
- Finance (1)
- Events (2)

If you would like more information about joining the executive or about what we do, please send us an email at [email protected] or send us a message through Facebook.

Enjoy the rest of your Summer and see you in September!

Acadia University names Dr. Peter J. Ricketts 16th President and Vice-Chancellor

“It's a pleasure for me to welcome Peter to Acadia and back to Nova Scotia," said John Rogers, Chair of Acadia's Board of Governors. “Peter's commitment to student success, his broad experience in post-secondary education from coast to coast in Canada, and his scholarly work in coastal ecosystems make him an ideal fit for Acadia. He understands Acadia well – our campus community, our important role in Nova Scotia's economy, and our network of stakeholders and supporters including our worldwide alumni. Our Board is looking forward to working with Peter and benefiting from his enthusiasm for the opportunities ahead of us."
