We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Jane Goodall, whose life’s work has inspired generations around the world. Through her tireless education and advocacy, she reminded us of the profound interconnectedness between people, animals, and the environment, and showed us that we all thrive when we care for one another.

Acadia was honoured to welcome Dr. Goodall in 2019 for a special event presented by the Acadia Sustainability Office in partnership with the Acadia Alumni Association. In her message to us, she urged hope, encouraged us to find meaning in small actions, and challenged us to work together for positive change.

May Dr. Goodall rest in peace. Her legacy of compassion, courage, and hope will continue to inspire generations to come.

The video of her lecture at Acadia is available on the Acadia Sustainability Office website. https://sustainability.acadiau.ca/janegoodall.html
