CAMPUS IS OPEN
PLEASE CHECK YOUR FOL BEFORE LEAVING FOR CAMPUS
The Woodstock/Oxford Regional Campus is OPEN TODAY and classes are operating on schedule. Please check your FanshaweOnline (FOL) for any scheduling or delivery changes (ie. classes going online). Otherwise, employees and students should plan to come to the College as long as they can continue to do so safely. We will continue to monitor the weather situation and will advise if there is a change.
A winter weather system continues to impact our area with likely snowfall and possibly hazardous travel conditions in and around Oxford County. Road and sidewalk conditions may become treacherous — please plan for longer commute times and consider delaying travel if conditions worsen. If you normally drive or rely on transit, please use extra caution.
What that means now:
Until a formal decision is made, campus operations (classes, staff presence, services) are assumed to proceed as scheduled.
If a closure or class-cancellation is required, the college will communicate via:
social media channels
official college email
alerts / Stay Safe APP
FOL homeroom
Non-essential staff or students experiencing unsafe travel conditions are encouraged to prioritize personal safety, and to contact their supervisor or instructor if unable to attend. Fanshawe’s policy acknowledges that weather-related concerns are a legitimate basis for absence.
What you should do now: Monitor local weather updates (including the forecast Storm Centre - The Weather Network). Stay alert for any official announcements from Fanshawe regarding closures or cancellations. Please download the Stay Safe App and follow our socials.
If you feel travel is unsafe, communicate with your professors about your situation as soon as possible. Budget extra travel time, and exercise caution when commuting — leave early if you must come to campus.
Thank you all for your cooperation and flexibility as we respond to potential winter-weather impacts. Let’s keep safety our top priority.
