As part of the new academic system, all Continuous Assessment (CA) tests and examinations for 100 level students will now be conducted online using the Computer-Based Test (CBT) method. To help fresh students smoothly, the National Association of Microbiology Students (NAMS), Umaru Musa Yaradua University (UMYU) has organized a CBT Awareness and Orientation Program specially for fresh students.

The National Association of Microbiology Students (NAMS), UMYU Chapter, under the leadership of Comrad Jabir Hamisu Abdullahi, held a strategic meeting with the Director of the Directorate of Physical Planning and Development (DPP&D).

A strong delegation accompanied the President, including the Secretary General, Social Director, Organizing Secretary II, Assistant Financial Secretary, and the Special Advisers to the President on Logistics.

The meeting centered on addressing critical issues affecting the department, particularly infrastructure and student welfare, while exploring collaborative solutions to enhance academic and social development.

This engagement demonstrates the proactive commitment of NAMS UMYU Chapter to strengthen dialogue with the university administration and ensure that student voices are represented in decision-making processes.

📰 PRESS RELEASE: Successful Sanitation Exercise by NAMS-UMYU

The National Association of Microbiology Students, Umaru Musa Yaradua University NAMS-UMYU chapter, under the leadership of ComradeJabir Hamisu Abdullahi , proudly announces the successful completion of its sanitation exercise held on Monday, 18th May 2026.

This strategic initiative was carried out across classes, staff offices, the departmental library, and laboratories, with the active participation of students and the full support of the Department Management. Essential cleaning materials brooms, mops, disinfectants, waste bins, and detergents were distributed to ensure a thorough and effective exercise.

The program reflects NAMS’ unwavering commitment to student welfare, environmental responsibility, and the promotion of a clean, safe, and hygienic learning atmosphere. It also underscores the association’s belief that a cleaner environment today guarantees a healthier tomorrow.

The association extends profound appreciation to the Department Management for their steadfast cooperation, which played a pivotal role in the success of this exercise.

NAMS calls on all microbiology students to sustain this momentum by embracing a culture of cleanliness and environmental stewardship. Together, we can uphold the standard of dignity, health, and academic excellence within our university community.
