Today we are publishing the sixth flyer, which will also be the last of its series. It marks the day where certain things come to an end. So what theme would fit this day better than "the future"?
All things end at some point. Whether it's a far too emotionally laden marketing campaign, the end of an academic degree or the last day of a colleague that you really liked working with. While we look back on past events with some bittersweet feelings, we should not forget that every end also marks the beginning of something new.
It is easy to observe. Change happens all around us. Sometimes we can influence it, and sometimes it's simply impossible to do so. In our case, the ideas@iimt is experiencing some structural changes. Laura Mustafi is leaving the iimt and it is with this well-known bittersweet feeling that we say goodbye and wish her only the best for her future.
While we are losing a valuable member, we should learn one last lesson from Laura and look to the future with a hopeful feeling. Lots of projects await us on the horizon. So why are we depicting a plant? What's the lesson to learn here?
In my opinion, we should always keep the future in mind. But to reach this vision, a strong base is necessary. Laura has taught me a lot in the past few months and only now am I confident enough to start walking in her footsteps.
My philosophy of best practices evolved in a similar fashion. My personal goal at ideas@iimt is to create a solid base of knowledge and competence for students who will be participating in the program so that they can be ready for whatever tomorrow may bring.
With a bright feeling for the future, all that's left for me to say right now is that I am looking forward to working together with all you current, new and potential participants of the ideas-program.
Yours truly,
Martin
