Last Thursday, 27 August, our panel on ‘Law, Politics and the Visual in Weimar Germany’ took place as part of the annual conference of the UK Association for German Studies at the University Glasgow. The panel featured six papers from Lucy Byford, Sara F. Hall, Steven Howe, Sabine Kriebel, Laura Petersen and Michelle Zhu. Working from different disciplinary and theoretical perspectives, the contributions sparked lively and wide-ranging discussion around the material, textual and ideological dimensions of the visual in their entanglements with law and politics throughout the Weimar period. Thanks to all who attended!
