Congratulations to Professor of Economics, Martin Kolmar for winning the HSG Teaching Award. Prof. Kolmar was presented with this award from the student body during our 2021 virtual dies academicus.

On May 29, 2021, the University of St.Gallen celebrated the virtual dies academicus with university members and guests from politics, science and the population.

We are so proud of Econometrics Professor, Matthias Fengler & Banking Economics Professor Martin Brown for winning this years HSG Impact Award! Their project “Monitoring Consumption Switzerland” provides weekly, detailed data on consumer spending in Switzerland.

This year, the University of St.Gallen (HSG) is conferring the HSG Impact Awards for the fourth time. HSG researchers will receive awards for the valuable contribution they make to society through their projects.

WANTED: Economics, Statistics or Computer Science student for a 4-8 hours Research Assistant position!

The position will support the team around Prof. Pisch in its research activities, in particular ongoing projects that use large microeconomic datasets to analyze production networks.

Ideal candidate has excellent knowledge of Stata, R and/or Python, some experience in record-linking and name matching procedures, verification of data consistency, and data research in established databases, such as ORBIS or Bloomberg. We are accept applications from candidates who are eager to learn procedures related to these tasks. English is our main working language, thus knowledge of German is not a requirement
