On 29–30 October 2026, SIMS – Swiss Institute of Management and Sciences will take part in the conference “Applied Sciences in Europe – Structures, Roles and Perspectives”, co-organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE), at the Brussels Marriott Hotel Grand Place.
💢 Applied sciences sit at the meeting point of education, research, and practice. Across Europe, institutions are rethinking how practice-oriented higher education is structured, what role it plays in innovation and regional development, and where it goes next.
💢 For SIMS, these questions are central to our mission: preparing professionals whose learning and research make a real difference in organisations, schools, health and social care, and industry—in Europe and across Asia.

This year’s theme – “Advancing digital innovation across global supply chains” – is exactly where tomorrow’s logistics careers are being shaped: AI, data, resilience, and sustainability.

SIMS – Swiss Institute of Management and Sciences met KENT International College in Ho Chi Minh City to discuss a pathway for KENT graduates to complete the final year of a SIMS bachelor’s degree, as well as broader academic cooperation.
Thank you to KENT International College team for a productive meeting. We share a goal: giving students in Vietnam clear, flexible routes to an internationally oriented degree.
