Inteligencia artificial generativa y aprendizaje colaborativo:efectos en estudiantes de ingeniería
This study aimed to analyze the effect of generative artificial intelligence (ChatGPT) on the dimensions of thecollaborative learning method in Computer Engineering students. A quasi-experimental design wasimplemented with a control group and an experimental group (n = 30), applying the spokesperson-basedcollaborative technique and using the Cooperative Learning Questionnaire as the measurement instrumentwith pre and post-test administration. The intervention consisted of integrating the ChatGPT tool as a supportresource during three collaborative sessions. The results showed that, although both groups had a positiveinitial perception of collaborative learning, no statistically significant differences were observed after theintervention. However, a greater homogeneity was found in the dimension of individual accountability and aslight increase in group processing. In conclusion, the integration of ChatGPT did not produce substantialchanges in students’ perceptions of the components of the collaborative learning method in advanced cohorts.This reinforces the crucial role of educators in guiding the ethical and pedagogically sound use of generativeartificial intelligence, ensuring that its integration strengthens—rather than replaces—the collaborativedynamics of learning.
